Nagano-san has appeared in many commercials as a pure actress, and this image has supported her career. However, this report has shattered that image. Tanaka Kei, on the other hand, already has a reputation as a “big cheater,” so it seems that people are not as shocked, or rather, they perceive it as “here we go again.” Of course, infidelity is not acceptable for either, but the difference in their images likely plays a role. As someone studying psychology at university, I understand that the impact of one’s image on others is significant. Especially for celebrities, their work is often influenced by their image. Since Nagano-san has built a large fanbase with her purity, the damage to her image from this incident is a considerable blow.
