Considering Masahiro Nakai’s Rebuttal
Recently, I came across news about Masahiro Nakai and read his rebuttal, which really made me think deeply. His perspective on the report from the third-party committee was quite compelling, and I found myself nodding in agreement.

it raises questions about delving into personal matters. Of course, sexual violence should never be tolerated, but it seems unnatural that Nakai’s views were barely reflected in the findings. Particularly concerning is the point that, despite him agreeing to lift confidentiality, no investigation took place, which leaves room for doubt. In our daily lives, when our opinions are disregarded, we often wonder, “Why?” I imagine Nakai felt similarly. It’s completely understandable that he feels he’s facing social sanctions as a result of this situation.

It raises questions about whether the media is genuinely pursuing justice or simply creating headlines. As someone who enjoys watching television, especially comedy, I sometimes wonder, “Is this really funny?” It’s sad when the pursuit of interesting topics distorts the truth.

I believe it’s important to respect women’s positions, but I also feel the fear of false accusations. When the focus becomes too strong on protecting victims, it can inadvertently cause harm to others. This is why finding balance is essential.
