The other day, I went with a friend to a Hanshin Tigers-themed izakaya called “Tigers Stadium” in Shimbashi. When we entered, the walls were adorned with Hanshin uniforms, creating a vibrant Tigers atmosphere. The entrance fee was a bit on the higher side, but the ambiance was fantastic. While there, I engaged in lively conversations about Hanshin with other customers. I was pleasantly surprised to find that many of them were from Tokyo. Particularly since it’s run by former pitcher Kawajiri, it’s a must-visit spot for fans. I hope to see Kawajiri’s no-hitter performance live one day!
Humorous Moments Born from Hanshin Love
At this izakaya, a little incident occurred. While I was walking with a beer, an older gentleman next to me asked, “Hey, are you a Hanshin fan?” and we struck up a conversation. We shared laughs over Hanshin stories and exchanged our fan histories. In the end, we became friends and promised to cheer together. Moments like these remind me of the joy of being a Hanshin fan. It’s great that there are fans nationwide, as it means there’s always a common topic to discuss, no matter where you are. I love that I can connect with fellow Hanshin supporters in Tokyo, not just in the energetic atmosphere of Osaka.
