I also had a situation in the past where a friend took thousands of yen worth of manga from me. At first, I thought, “Well, he’s a friend,” but over time, I began to realize, “Wait, isn’t this theft?” I considered consulting the police, but I learned that they won’t take action on their own. You have to file a report for anything to happen. So, it’s possible that no report has been filed against Ryoki.

Speaking of which, there was a time when I was playing games with friends, and after losing, I dramatically declared, “I’m never playing games again!” One of my friends jokingly said, “Then I’ll take the PlayStation!” Looking back, it was a little scary to think how that could have actually happened.
