Question from a reader:
Who is your favorite person among them?
The Charm of Fuwa-chan and the Humor of Her Antagonists
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about Fuwa-chan. To be honest, I didn’t really like her when she was at the height of her popularity. I found her bright character a bit hard to handle. However, after a particular incident
caused her to face backlash, I discovered a surprising side of her. That was the turning point for me, and gradually, I started to like her. The incident was undoubtedly a tough blow for her. Yet, observing her reactions and statements afterward, I noticed an unexpected humanity and humor in her. I find it interesting that I tend to like people who have a lot of critics. For some reason, I feel a sense of empathy for those who are being criticized by others.
My Ignorance Compared to the Other Three
To be honest, I don’t know much about the other three. It may just be my own ignorance, but I have no strong feelings—neither love nor hate—about them. I feel somewhat out of touch with the trends of recent youth. If I had more opportunities to understand what they’re like, perhaps I would develop different feelings toward them. Looking back, I often watch YouTube or check social media with my university friends, discussing various topics. In those moments, I sometimes make surprising discoveries that make me laugh. For instance, there was a time when a friend mentioned someone they found “super funny,” and at first, I had no interest in that person. But as I watched, I ended up getting hooked.
Who is your favorite person?
In the end, I think our feelings toward people can change through understanding. Like me, many people often shift their perspectives due to controversies or small events. What about everyone else? If you have any stories about someone you particularly like or unexpectedly grew fond of, I would love to hear them. Share in the comments, and let’s expand the conversation together!
