Recently, while discussing baseball with friends, I remembered that Yuusei Kikuchi and Cabbage played on the same team for a brief period. Cabbage transferred from the Angels to the Astros last September, so they wore the same uniform
for just a short time, but that moment held special significance. I also recall a time when I was working at a judicial scrivener’s office, and my colleagues and I got excited talking about baseball. I was particularly impressed by Kikuchi’s pitching style. His calmness on the mound and confident demeanor towards batters left a strong impression on me. In situations that would make most people nervous, he maintains his pace and composure. This attitude is something that can be greatly beneficial in the legal world as well. Cabbage’s playing style is also unique. His batting consistently surprises me. I especially remember a home run he hit during one game that electrified the entire stadium. There’s also a funny episode I’d like to share. One day, my friend and I arrived at the stadium early to catch a game. While waiting for the match to start, I found myself snacking too much at the concession stand. By the time the game began, I was already full and ended up dozing off during the match.
