It’s actually quite common for people to end up with
the same name as a celebrity after changing their surname due to marriage. When chatting with friends, there are times when I think, “Hey, that surname sounds familiar.” Especially in the Japanese entertainment industry, where surnames are so diverse, the chances of sharing a name are pretty high. For example, if Kuraki Kenichirou and Yamada Mai got married and Yamada Mai became Kuraki Mai, that’s a totally plausible situation. I’ve heard similar stories on TV, and in a way, it could be seen as a fateful encounter! However, this can also lead to some amusing situations.
