Question from readers:
Let us know if there are any discussions you’d like to see. For example, a conversation between Ichiro and Shohei Ohtani, or between Kazuyoshi Miura, Hidetoshi Nakata, and Keisuke Honda, or Inaba Koji, Masaharu Fukuyama, and Takuya Kimura, or even a discussion between Namie Amuro and Ayumi Hamasaki. Which one are you most interested in?
The Dream Discussion:
Ichiro and Shohei Ohtani
Recently, while chatting with a friend about “discussions we’d like to see,” we both agreed that a conversation between Ichiro and Shohei Ohtani would be the most exciting. Both are representative baseball players of Japan and superstars of their respective eras, so I’m really looking forward to what kind of topics would come up. I wonder what kind of chemical reactions would occur when Ichiro’s unique perspective and philosophy meet Ohtani’s view of baseball in this new era. Thinking back, there are always words that resonate with me when I watch Ichiro’s playing style and interviews. Similarly, Shohei Ohtani not only possesses immense talent but also demonstrates a wonderful attitude emphasizing humility and hard work. Just imagining the questions they would throw at each other in a discussion is thrilling.
The Dream Collaboration: Namie Amuro and Mao Asada
Furthermore, if a discussion with Namie Amuro were to happen, I think a combination with Mao Asada would be fantastic! Amuro’s performance has an athletic beauty to it. Her stage presence transcends that of a typical singer, embodying a sense of tension and emotion akin to that of a sport. Mao has captivated many with her beautiful performances on ice, and I would love to see them talk about the challenges and joys of “expressing oneself.” Of course, I can also imagine them having fun discussing their favorite snacks and sharing laughs. It would be great to have serious conversations in such a relaxed atmosphere.
